I once tasted a "cake" that seamed to have no flour in it. it was like the top of a lemon pie.
It was baked in a angel food cake pan with caramel on the bottom of the pan.
anyone has a recipe for it?

thanks CM but that is not what I'm looking for, it's all egg whites, sugar and something to make the whites stable.
when you eat it it melts

Angel's food cake has flour.
8 egg whites beaten to a snow with half a cup sugar.
1 cup flour sifted finely with half a cup sugar.
fold sugar/flour mixture into the snow, one tablespoon at a time. Takes a long time.
Bake at 350 for half an hour.
If you want a bit tastier add 1 t vanilla extract to the mixture.
You can also layer it with cinnamon and sugar.

CM I'm sorry I didn't know. I guess that the angel food cake I tasted recently was not a good one!
by the way I love your recipes, thanks for sharing so many
thanks for the recipe freidasima.
do you think I can bake it with caramel on the bottom of the pan and it will become like watery when you serve it?

Maybe if you make it with potato starch it's shehakol. I was planning to make one like this for Pesach. Eggs, sugar, potato starch. Do you think it will work?
