Does anyone know of a really nice, safe park in Brooklyn for kids? With decent structures and not overly packed?

I assume you mean playground. There are nice ones all over. There is a beautiful new park on 18th avenue and the 50's. Ceasar's Bay (straight down Bay Pkwy)is beautiful, Marine Park - but across avenue U and 3 blocks further north - by the salt marsh - with animal play-ons. Prospect Park is dotted with playgrounds (the most convenient is slightly behind Wollman parking lot - walk against the flow of joggers towards the lake and across the road). The playground on ave L and east 17 is usually packed with frum kids as is the one on M and east 38 or so and Ocean Parkway (and ave P). You really can't go wrong with any Parks Dept playground - have fun!

Every single park is safe, and overly packed.
