I take meat and add some olive oil since I find Israeli meat to be dry. Then I add spices such as pepper, garlic powder and allspice. If I think the meat needs it, I add an egg. I mix it without patchkeing too much, then I form patties and grill.

I add applesauce to make it fluffier, breadcrumbs, tomato paste, ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper and garlic.

Best Burgers
1 lb. ground meat
2 cloves garlic, crushed
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp coriander
Combine ingredients. Divide mixture into 4 balls. Shape and flatten into very thin large burgers.
Grill, or bake uncovered at 425 for 20 minutes.
They really are the best burgers.

I don't have measurements but...
Ground beef,
eggs OR mayo
bread crumbs, matzah meal or torn bread
spices (garlic usually, and others that strike my fancy)
catsup or tomato sauce
tamarii
chopped onions
it shouldn't be too moist or too dry. If you can form nice firm patties, that is what I aim for. I add more matzah meal/bread/etc if too moist.
Either fry or bake or grill...

Am I the only one who adds eggs/bread or some such to my meat?

I add eggs and breadcrumbs to meatballs and meatloaf but not to burgers.

I made the mixture for these last night and we are planning to grill them tonight for dinner. When I prepared them, though, I noticed that they are a bit sticky. I had to grease the cookie sheet where I put them to store overnight. Do they stick to the grill? Did I do something wrong? I actually put them in the freezer this morning because I was worried that they would be too sticky - was that a mistake?

Depending on your locaiton, you might also find raw, premde hamburger patties in your store's fridge or freezer section. sometimes it's the same price as the meat.

If you are using an outdoor grill, maybe brush the grates with oil before you start.
If you are using a George Foreman, maybe place the burgers between parchment paper before placing them on the grill.
Freezing them was definitely not a mistake. I form and freeze mine raw all the time, either on a cookie sheet, or stacked with sheets of foil in between each one.
Let me know how they turn out.

Stickiness depends on meat -- some ground beef is leaner than others.
As far as buying premade and the price being the same, it's because there is so much filler stuff in it, so there is less meat. I can't stand the premade ones.

Are these spicy or have an 'intersting' taste to it? I want to try them, but my DH won't eat anything that doesn't taste 'regular'!
