I just got a case of frozen pitted cherries.
I saw Sussy Fishbein had this recipe for chicken in a puff dough pastry, and she had this canned cherry topping on it.
I am making chicken stuffed blintzes as an entree and it looked interesting.
Is it a sweet topping - cherries and sugar, or a more cooked ,with onions and peppers ?

Are you asking if the canned cherries are sweet and have sugar in them? They are and they do.

If I'm making it from scratch for a chicken topping, am I better off with such a sweet topping. I'm trying to imagine what the combination would be like.
