Tal Avitan, a seven-year-old girl, is having surgery today to fix damage from an aneurysm. She has been hospitalized since December, and in a medically induced coma for part of that time.
Her Hebrew name is Tal bat Sarah Chava.
Tal's father Moshe was seriously hurt in a terrorist attack a year and a half ago. He made a miraculous recovery but was left mostly blind.
An article (in Hebrew) about the family here: http://www.inn.co.il/News/News.aspx/204086

This was on a yahoo list I'm a member of:
Quote: | I'm very happy to tell you all that Tal came through her long brain surgery.
Professor Spektor has told Sarah and Moshe that it went well. Tal is talking
a little bit but is in quite a lot of pain and has been given medication for
this. We still have a way to go until we see that all is totally well, but
I'll keep you posted. Keep up the prayers please. |

Again, updated from a yahoo list I'm on:
Quote: | Tal bat Sarah Chava is running around as though there was never anything
wrong with her! This is one week after major brain surgery. The hands of the
neurosurgeons were guided in a wonderful way. |
