I want to buy a Baby Jogger stroller, but I have a newborn and I do not want to buy a bassinet. I see that all the Baby Joggers are not recommended till 6 months of age. Has anyone used a baby jogger for a newborn? Is there some kind of infant insert that would make the seat more supportive?

I have seen people with a car seat attached to the city mini/elite seat.

right- but that means buying another thing- a carseat adapter- something I'd prefer not to do

I have also seen a soft head support piece that people use. I got one included when I bought a swing so maybe you have one already?
Also, do not put bags on the handlebar with an infant. The stroller can tip (it happened to my friend).

strangely enough on the hebrew baby jogger website the city mini (maybe more, but that one at least im sure of) is recommended from birth. my friend bought a pillow/cushion type thing that has holes for the seatbelt straps to go through and has used the city mini since her little one was born 3 months ago.
in israel they sell these inserts for like 35 shekel (they are universal for all strollers I think) though the ones I have seen in the states are upwards of $60..

I have the City Mini Double and used it from when my second son was 2 months old. I leaned the seat back as far as it went and he was fine.
