I am renting for the first time and I was wondering if n e one had a list or n e ideas of what we need to bring.

there are lists floating around somewhere........
you need:
clothes-summer, 1 or 2 warmer things, sweaters, pajamas, shabbos robes, swim stuff-at least 2 suits per person
basic kitchen stuff-you don't need to take along your garnishing set unless your expecting to cater! last year I didn't use half the stuff I bought along and I think I took along about 4 pots and 4 bowls....
shabbos blech/hot plate
linen and bedding
toiletries (remember the sunscreen)
1 months supply of any daily prescription meds
non prescription stuff like tylonol
food and paper goods and cleaning stuff, every year is debate if should bring up from city or not.... Wal Mart is packed the first week, you don't want to wait a few hours on line, just bring up the extra 2-3 boxes of stuff
flashlight and extra set of batteries
quarters for laundry machine
play stuff for kids-bikes, balls, rainy day activities
rain gear
crib, high chair, pack and play or whatever baby gear you need to survive the summer
towels, you need extra for swimming
