Can anyone help me with advice regarding the cycling of a new fish tank? I have a 55 gallon tank and there's just way too much information out there to know what to do. I don't know which site to trust and the opinions are just too many to sift through.

So how did you cycle your tank? Which products did you use to do so?

Whatever information you can share is appreciated.

I use Aquasafe when cycling a new tank or adding/changing the water. The most important thing that I've learned is that once the tank is cycled, add fish very very slowly, only 1-2 at a time to prevent nitrates of building up to quickly and killing the fish.

Thanks. Why was I told to add each school of fish at a time (very small fish)?
