I'm trying to place an order online for some polo shirts for my 3.5 year old and getting stuck on the sizing. He needs a 5, but their labels are set up as XS, S, M..... until now I've been buying for him from the toddler sections, but he's ready for bigger stuff now and I'm not sure how this works. Anyone with experience in Target boys shirts?

no patience to do that in 95 degree weather with 2 little ones and pay for parking to boot. I have enough of an order to get free shipping already...

I think I have smalls in short sleeves and my 7 yr old wears them, but I could be wrong. I can't check because they're put away for the winter.

cool; thanx all! so if he's a 5, I should stick with the XS? I havent had any shrinkage issues with their shorts, but I need the shirts to last the summer at least

I'll tell you this so you can compare:
My 5 year old wears a 5T t-shirt from the baby/toddler section, and an XS from the boys' section, and the XS actually seems a bit roomier than the 5T.
I think you'll do fine with the XS, and he'd be swimming in the S.
