Does apple cake freeze well?
What other cakes are good to freeze? I tried honey, rugelach, white cakes - anything else?

all freeze. I find that apple cake or cherry cake gets mushy...
I make tonz of squres for the holidays, starting now and freeze them in groups of three to cover all the holidays...
I freeze honey cakes too.

I freeze my apple cake -
just make sure when u defrost it - remove the foil and let it sit on a cooling rack - this way - all of the moisture will drip off or evaporate and keep the cake from getting soggy.
bars, cookies and muffins freeze well -
I would b a bit nervous with a pie - but if needed, I would freeze it and once defrosted acc. to the method above, I might bake it for 5 minutes to re-crisp the crust.

You can prep the pie as if you were about to bake it, but wrap it and freeze it. then add time on when you want to bake it. Dunno about berries tho...or cherries...peaches and apples have worked for me...

What kind of apple cake. Are you talking about one with a thick layer of apples in the middle? Those tend to get soggy, but I have found you can defrost them then heat them for a few min and it is much better. Or are you talking about a cake with pieces of apple mixed into the batter? Those usually do just fine.
