My 3year olds scrotum seems very empty embarrassed
I remember him being checked down there as a baby, and dr didnt say anything and then again a while ago, when dh took him to the dr. he had him checked and the dr. said things were absolutely fine.
I just have this weird feeling. my other son's, a year younger is much larger and I can clearly see '2 things' inside. his is just so petite!today I tried to feel but couldnt feel anything.
is there a condition that it descended but went back up or something?
please help me.
I'm freaking out!!!

That is one of the things the doctors check for during the 1st year well visits. It most likely is there even though you don't feel it.
The doctor can also look a bit better by shining a light "through" it (like if you shine a light through our hand you can make out the bones etc).
Tracht gut, vet zein gut.
I think you most likely don't have to worry.

I was told off and on to watch my son's testicle on one side. Some doctors said it was a problem, some said no.

I was at the surgeon about something else and he noticed the "undescended testicle" and scheduled surgery.

I made an appointment with a urologist, as a second opinion, and he poked around a bit and said it was fine. It isn't down, but it is retractable and can be pulled back down into place which is normal for a three year old. He said he wants to check it annually, but it should be in place permanently by the time he hit puberty.

So, the short of it is, it may not be a problem, but it may. If the pediatrician thinks it is get a referral to a good pediatric urologist.

At my son's 4 year old checkup the dr was concerned that he seemed to have this condition. I kinda missed his 3 year old checkup since we were moving out of town and switching insurances. I also got very nervous and ran to a pedi urologist, who, upon examination , decided that he has retractile testicles. It will descend on its own at a later age, and I have nothing to worry about. No surgeries, 99.9% of the time it comes down on its own. Hopefully it is something like this for you too. Please keep us posted.

I don't know how your Tipat Chalav runs but every 6 months or so (in the first 2 years) in addition to seeing the TC nurse, my boys had a well-baby visit with the pediatrician.

In addition, if you feel the doctor isn't taking you seriously, find one who will.

Most likely are the key words. Undescended testicles are sometimes overlooked by pedis. I'd suggest you have him seen by a urologist. An undescended testicle, if ignored, can lead to fertility issues and as such, I would not rest until it's confirmed with a specialist (NOT a pedi) that things are fine.

that's exactly what the dr. said this morning! (op here) one side is down and the other is retractile and will hopefully be ok by the age of 4/5. if he would get pain down there then it can be very dangerous....
b'H, I was so worried.

If I was you, I'd still see a urologist. Undescended testicles, if left, can be a big issue.

Im the amother of the 4 year old here. Glad to help!! The urologist did some sort of reflex exam , made him cross his legs and kinda ran his fingers along the inner leg, and it sorta descended. Weird, but works. He told me they should do this at his 5 yr old checkup and make sure e/t is ok.
I was more comfortable hearing this from a specialist, if it is something that has to be taken care of, the sooner the better.
