this is really good:

saute mushrooms and an onion or two

the for the meat:
1/3 cup bread crumbs
salt pepper oregano onion powder
1 egg

put the mean on top of veggies and saute a few min
add sauce:
one big can tomatoe sauce
one big can crushed tomatoes
one small can tomatoe paste
1/3 cup honey
1 tabs lemon juice
and the spices above

there is a really good sweet and sour one in the purple cookbook.

Very easy recipe:

Form ground beef into balls (add whatever you like to put in meat balls, bread crumbs, egg, diced onions, etc), put in oven until brown, then add duck sauce.

Just bake the meatballs in the oven like you would hamburgers.

Here's a family favorite. My great-grandmother used to make them and every one since uses the recipe.
Beer Meatballs:
Prepare 1 lb. ground beef mixed with 1 egg and salt and pepper to taste. Form into preferred sized meatballs and set aside.

Mix together in a pot
14 oz. ketchup (Heinz truly is best in this case),
14 oz water,
1/2 c. dark brown sugar,
1 bottle of beer.

Stir well and bring to a boil. Add meatballs one at a time so they don't crowd too much or mush together. Return to a boil, then reduce to a low flame and simmer on low for about 45 minutes or until a tested meatball is cooked all the way thru.

These are great served over noodles or rice, and the sauce also works well with brisket or similar roasts.

but this is how I make mine

grownd beef

parsley
one egg or so

mix all together, form into balls, fry them a bit in oil on the skillet then bake them, also can make sauce for them.

Most incredible sweet and sour meatballs:

for every 2 lbs of chopped meat, you need:
2 eggs
1/4 c. matzo meal
pepper, to taste
garlic powder, to taste
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. ketchup
16 oz. can of tomato sauce
1 can of jellied cranberry sauce

In a pot, over low flame, mix the last four ingredients until all lumps are dissolved. In a separate bowl, combine the chopped meat and the first four ingredients. Form small balls (remember, they shrink slightly) and drop into sauce. Cover, leaving only a small opening and allow to cook on a low flame for 1 1/2-2 hrs.

Loved by all who try them!!
