Please help right now - eye hurts only at night?

My son has complained a few times over the past week, only at bedtime, that his eye hurt. We always just smiled and gave it a kiss and all was better.

But tonight he's been crying again that his eye hurts, now several times. It's not red, nothing seems to be wrong with it. I haven't been giving it too much attention, in case he's making it up. But has anyone ever heard of something that hurts a kid's eye only at night?

Maybe a sinus infection, behind the eye? They usually feel worse when you lay down or bend over. Did he have a cold recently?

allergies? my daughter had this and the eye dr said it was allergies and gave me drops.
I think one of the things irritating her more might have been the down blanket.

did he hurt his eye? my son just hurt his eye and the white part was red and scary looking I talked to the doctor and she said if hes in pain means his retina the center eye is scratched or hurt which is dangerous sometimes cant see it kids forget when being hurt talk to u doctor refuah shalayma
