My kids finished school at 12:15 today because it was a fast day. Do many schools finish earlier around the world because of a fast day? Other schools in the area finished at 3:30 but the high schools did finish at lunch time, as the kids were fasting.

Most kids you mean you send your kids at the age of four to overnight camp?
They have to come home at some time the young ones so did they finish earlier because of the fasy day?
Remember there are more countries in the world then the US.

Here the children of all ages finish at 12 noon on any fast day.
The girls are on holiday, but the boys are still in cheder and finished at 12.

I was suprised my kids had a full day of camp they came home at 3:30- During the year on fast days they always have a half day.

My sons camp finished at 1:00 but he didn't get home till 2:00.

Boys had a half day. Girls daycamp was closed.
Do you get half a day off for a fast day? Does your husband not work on a fast day? Wht can't these kids stay in school all day? (I'm refering to the young ones who don't fast yet.)

their counselors and head-staff are fasting. It's exhausting to do activities with groups of children on a fast-day.

DS finished at 3 instead of 4 & DD had a Friday schedule - 12:45
