I recently came across single packets of Starbucks hot chocolate with toasted marshmallows. It has a chof-k dairy on it but the ingredients do say gelatin. I've never seen anything with dried marshmallows that has a hechsher. Does anyone know if this is a mistake?

Fish gelatin is kosher. Call the Chof-k if you want to confirm it.

They are closed now and I wanted it tonight, that's why I'm wondering if anyone may know.

The one on the retail shelves, yes, has a Chaf-K Dairy, BUT BEWARE, the one behind the bar does not have a hechsher (different factories).

Usually though, when it's fish gelatin it says FISH gelatin...this one only says gelatin which is why I'm wary.

look on the chof-k website. Most hechserim have a website that has a list of all the products they give hasgachah on.

UPDATE - after checking with someone at the chof-k, they are under the chof-k supervision, even the toasted marshmallow flavor. YUM!
