I recently moved into a new house that has a relatively new white stove with gray stove top grates. I cannot get the stop top clean! I have used several products with the only mild success being soft scrub and it only does an ok job but there is still tonss of black around the fire and on the grates. Brillo helps but takes off the white with it so that's a no go  .
Any products I can buy or tricks on how to get it really clean.

TIA | That black is probably soot, which means the gas isn't burning properly. You may want to go over where the flame comes out with a toothpick to see if some of the holes are clogged. Baking soda is the gentlest most useful product when it comes to the paint on the stove. The grates you can probably use harsher chemicals on and/or put them in for a self-clean cycle.
