If you need only 1 yd/mtr or fabric and there's 1 3/4 or less on it and since they don't want to be left with less than 1, they tell you, you have to take it, but with no discount. Would you take it and would they be right?

I have never been told that I HAVE to buy the whole thing. Usually they do give a discount if I take what's left.

No. I'd sooner walk out with nothing and find someplace else to shop.

Absolutely not! I've never heard of such a thing!

While the store definitely would like you to take the remainder of the bolt, they always offer a discount as an inducement, and if you decline, they cut it anyway. The remainder is sold as a "remnant."

Honestly, I thought I'd heard everything!

It's never happened to me, but if it did I'd say "Hmmmmmm, interesting rule. No thanks."

whenever that happened to me they always tell me they give the rest for cheaper
and if not, they cut the piece that I want.
I already had that they gave me the piece without any charge more

The reason I ask is because I only know from the sellers point of view and also only buying from the states. Where I live there are a lot of fabric stores, like the fashion district, but not as nice Wink . That's what happened to me in one of the stores. They don't sell remnants, so they wouldn't do that and I understood that they want me to take the whole thing, but I wanted to know if I was wrong in them not giving me a discount. I didn't take it, btw. Not only that, in the same store I needed 10 meters of tulle and since they didn't have it in one piece, I finished up all their small pieces and they didn't even give me a discount for that either. I bought it there becuase they had it the cheapest, but I'm not going back. Thanks!!
