This is probably the wrong forum, I just couldn't think of where else to post.
Would someone mind explaining to me what a mashpia is? I see references to it all over here, but never heard the term before and am wondering what it is.

it's Lubavitch lingo for rebetzin, ie woman advisor in hashkafic issues in yiddishkeit.

no, not at all - glad to be of help and sorry to have caused ill-placed guilt feelings.

I guess that thread of mine has caused a minor commotion - maybe I'll be ignored less around here from now on. Wink
