We are getting our steps carpeted thank g-d tommorow. The guy said he charges 10 bucks a step. anyone have experience with this. it sounds pretty cheap, just wanted to check that?

Is it including the carpet-- or the carpet is separate??? I don't know about you but my whole second floor cost as much as my steps-- I think it was like 1200- in that area-- but I was paying for the carpet too.

sorry- I don't know how much that cost-- but it does sound cheap-Although I hope you don't have too many steps-the price can add up

A big difference in price could be if you are getting
the entire step (sides, underneath, and around railings
and banisters..) or, just straight down the center ..??
(Much quicker and cheaper.)

we looked into carpeting the play room (currently has big rug) and got a quote for about 1500 dollars.....

so today we had the stairs, landings and hallway done. its a pretty nice size hall- for $250 altogether including padding.
the carpet was $100 total and we have a ton left. good carpet too, good quality.

Where in the world did you get carpet for 100 dollars? We just had a room carpeted (not a very big one either) and we bought the absolute cheapest carpet we could find (at national wholesale liquidators) and it cost 600 with installation!!!

wow! We used a place we haer advertized on the radio. We had the steps done, regular carpeting all the way to the edges. Cost about $700. In BP, they quoted me about $1500 for patterned runner or a little less for full carpeting.
