does it seem like people ask imamother's all sorts of questions that google or wikipedia is more suited to answer? if you have internet access to imamother, don't you also have access to everything else?
if you wonder about your body is doing xyz, or gift ideas, or why your kid is throwing up/coughing/crying
why do you think a limited number of jewish houswives will have all the appropriate answers?
not trying to start up,
just curious. is imamother your first place to search? why?

Imamother is a legitimate website with real people, that the average member can relate to. Asking imamother questions feels closer to home, more relevant than some random/other website.

Me three. I usually use wikipedia or google for just general knowledge. But when I'm looking to discuss, hear other people's experiences with a certain issue, hear different viewpoints discussed etc. I'll post on imamother.

Sometimes it's not that I want to know what something is; it's that I want to know what frum women think it is.

If you don't want to POAS or ask your gyno, may I suggest asking the magic 8 ball...

not sure if this is sarcasm, but this is exactly what you are supposed to google.
googling this will come up with medical sites that list pregnancy symptoms.
so you would actually know.
how many gynos do you think prowl the pages of imamother

Actually - this was meant to be sarcastic. That's my point - ppl posting "Am I pregnant" are not looking for info in my opinion - just expressing their concerns/hope etc.

Not sure what to answer. I do have pretty good internet access, including wikipedia (which isn't always my first choice for solid info, BTW). But sometimes imamother provides the feeling of gathering at the river with the laundry and a good shmooze with a broad cross-section of the community.

I got the sarcasm! Usually, the answer is "If you had relations with your husband, then yes, it's possible you're pregnant"... if anyone on this board has nevuah, they can give a better answer. I'm not sure how google (or any other search engine) can help you tell if you're pregnant. Yeah sure, you can look up pregnancy symptoms, but a lot of those can also be PMS symptoms (bloating, food cravings.. etc) or stuff caused by hormones from BC pills or nursing a baby (breast tenderness, moodiness...etc)
As someone who sells POAS tests, I strongly advise every imamother who thinks she might be pregnant to buy some....
