Use better quality bags and/or don't squeeze so hard.

I use a squeeze bottle. I have clear ones but they're like the red & yellow ketchup & mustard squeeze bottles

how about using an (old) baby bottle.
the teat (nipple) has a hole that wont explode but with gentle pressure or shaking about will let the chocolate out,

This is what I was going to say. | This.
Dip the tines of a fork into melted chocolate.
Then just tap the handle of the fork over the cookies, and you'll get pretty drizzles.

make the chocolate a little runnier, so it will squeeze better. Either warm it up, or mix in melted margarine.

Use a good quality bag - like ziploc brand. Make sure the chocolate is completely melted-no lumps. If you don't need long, neat drizzles, then using a fork is probably easier.

A good quality bag does make a difference. Shoprite bags don't work well but a good ziplock bag does. I usually cut the tip with very sharp scissors. It is best if the hole is on the very corner tip pf the bag, otherwise it will squirt in different directions.
A different tip: put chocolate chips in the bag, put the bag in a kum kum (electric hot water kettle) with the top closed on the bag so that it doesn't fall into the water. Boil the water and the steam melts it. Just cut the tip and you don't have the mess of spooning it in. For this you really need to use a good quality bag. If you are in Israel, the basic Nikol (?) baggies are excellent (I know people who brought them back to the US for this purpose.)
Good luck!
