Where can I donate shoes in Brooklyn or Queens and receive a tax deduction for it? I looked up goodwill and it is not near me. Thanks for your help.

There is a shoe gemach AFAIK in Flatbush, I think. Perhaps someone knows of it?
You're not donating shoes from someone who passed away, are you? We Jews don't do that, but I can never remember why. I know it's been discussed here before.

2 places - in Chofetz Chaim there is a children's shoe gemach. If you need it, I can ask dh where it is - it's in a locker, people just come and take what they need.
Young Israel of Brighton Beach picks up clothes, linens and shoes and bags.

Anyone knows if this gemach still exists and if I can drop off shoes? I have a couple of pairs of decent condition used european brand shoes from my kids and also a few cheaper ones that are new that I missed Amazon return window.
