Hot dogs wrapped in challah dough?

does anyone know if this would taste ok? we've stopped using puff pastry, but I really don't like making 'franks in blanks' with phyllo dough. I was thinking of just wrapping some extra challah dough (rolled very thin) around the hot dogs and baking it like that.....

anyone?

I once used this dough:

It's probably more fattening than Challah dough but at least no margarine.

I serve them hot... and now I really want to make them for lunch tomorrow. Smile If my shoulder is feeling better I just might. I over did it today, but tomorrow is another day!!

I'm davka making them this week cuz my father brought us some AMAZING hotdogs from the butcher in cleveland..... so much better than the prepackaged ones we get here

Very Happy Good hot dogs are great this way, but we have found that the best way to serve any hot dogs in on the BBQ. Even not so good hot dogs taste good that way.
