My 13 month old baby spaces out sometimes and I can wave my hand in front of her face and she wont respond right away. Her therapist who saw it happen during her session today says that she doesnt want to alarm me but it could be a type of a seizure and I should bring it up with the doctor.
Does anyone know anything about this or know of this in someone. I'm a little nervous but it seems harmless so should I even bring it up with the doctor (since he'll probably brush it away unless I insist on it) or is this normal thing for babies to do?

They are called absense seizures. a pediatric neurologist is a good idea. if you're in NY, I would suggest Shlomo Shinar or Steve Wolf
