It's hard to tell if you don't feel it. I bought one in walmart for much much less (think under ten bucks) and it was great.

Its fine if your child stays in one place all night and won't pee unless he is on that small section of covered bed.
I got a cloth one to go under the sheet, that covers the whole bed, for about the same price.
