I need ideas for "clean" Shabbos food...no mayo, not fried, processed, canned, acidic, gassy, sugary, white flour.
I'm looking for soups, salads, sides, appetizers, desserts...
I've been having some stomach problems recently & need a change in menu.
TIA! _________________ Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

gaspacho is like pureed salad, very yummy ( I like the Moosewood recipe, I'll try to find it if you'd like)
sushi is light and simple, perhaps could be made with brown rice to be healthier
miso soup as well is nice
roasted veggies like eggplant, zucchini, sweet potato, fennel, onions, garlic cloves, carrot slices, etc are great alone or you can make a starchy salad using whole wheat orzo or pasta and drizzle balsamic vinegar
All fruit sorbets are great (no sugar necessary if it is a sweet fruit like mango, or add bananas to strawberries or kiwi, and pear, so many combinations. I froze compote the other day and it was so yummy.)
just serve fresh salads and add 1 or 2 cooked veg sides, quinoa or sweet potatoes as a starch, light protein and a light dessert.

Soup is easy, make a cream of any vegetable you want soup. Fry onion and garlic add the veggies and 2 potatoes (they add the thickness) cover with water add spices you like and blend. You can add some parve cream if you want (I get soy cream at the health food store). I usually use broccoli and cauliflower since that doesnt involve cutting. _________________ Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something. -Plato

Must it be meat?
In the summer we often do fish (poached salmon/steamed fillet of whatever's on sale/grilled tuna or salmon steaks).
Greek salad, chickpea salad, tomato salad, marinated mushrooms...
Fruit salad or just plain fresh fruit.
Orange soup (carrots, sweet potato, squash or pumpkin, apples) - puree it. Leek & potato soup. _________________ Emmanuel Tzvi: 26 Shevat 5766
