My 6th grade son has not clicked with his math teacher for the past 2 years, so he's at 4th grade level math even though he's going into 7th grade. He's very bright, and did well in math in his younger years.
I know the math very well, and I have tried to teach it to him, but I am realizing that I'm not good at explaining concepts that I know so well.
Where can I find a recommendation of DVD's I can buy for him to watch to learn 5th and 6th grade math? I'd review with him after watching segments of the DVD together.
Do we have any homeschooling parents here who would know where I can find these? I've searched Google and Amazon, but haven't come up with anything that has good reviews.
TIA!!!

We used something for younger kids. I don't remember the name.
What sort of math is this? Multiplying? Fractions ?

Hi,
it's long division, decimals, and multiplying/dividing fractions!

I think we used something called Math Blasters but I could be wrong. Anyway, I think it was math for younger kids.
Did your search not yield anything at all ? Did you ask at your local library ?

If he's good at math and he's had an issue just because of his teacher why not try having a neighbor teach it to him. She may be able to get him to learn the concept because she's not his mother. If that doesn't work you may want to consider getting a tutor for the few times it should take for him to pick up on this information.
