I'm baking whole sweet potatoes on 350 but I'm not sure how long to bake them for. Can anyone help me?

Possibly as long as an hour. Unless you are doing something with them afterwards...

OK thanx, I'll check them after an hour. I am baking them afterwards in a sweet potato kugel but they're supposed to be mushy when they come out of the oven the first time.

In case anyone else would want to know, it took 1 1/2 hours.

That's the normal case by me, sometimes even 2 hours as they can get quite big.

I would have peeled, cut up and boiled them instead.

well then you would have taken all the nutrients out of the sweet potatoes. And sweet potatoes are FILLED with vitamins and nutrients. Baking them is much healthier.

In general, cooking food leaches the nutrients out of them.

Boiling leaches out ALL of the nutrients from vegetables. It's much better to steam or bake.
