Did you try kishke/chicken cutlets in flakey dough pockets?

I'm looking for that recipe. It sounds really good not to mention that my dh loves kishke. TIA.

take dough squares and place a slice of kishke in the center of each, on top of that place a piece of chicken cutlet (abt. the same size as the kishke), then spoon duck sauce on top of the chicken. Fold sides in to form a square. Place seam side down on greased cookie sheet and bake until golden. Serve with mushroom sauce (optional)

I do it basically the same as wwmom except that I put the chicken first and then the kishke and don't use duck sauce. They are yummy!

I just thought of this. Do you have to actually fry the chicken before or can you put in a raw piece and let it bake inside? Do you bread it or just put it in plain? Thanks.

chloe - I have only frozen it raw but all assembled, so I don't know if it freezes well once cooked.
