I know this is a silly question but I really dont know what to write.
my friend had a baby girl and I want to give a gift but I dont know what to write on the card. I dont know the baby's name. Also should I write her husbands name on the card or just hers?
This is what I was thinking:
Dear Rivkah,
mazel tov on the birth of your daughter. May we always share in simchas.
Love, Esti
but it sounds too formal
amother bec I'm embarrassed to be asking such a dumb question

I That sounds fine. Just put a! After the first sentence. The if you're still insecure bouttit just know that she will read it once and thenforget about it. It's relationship and your thoughtful Ness and And ur gift that count

Is this her first? Wehn I had my first a close friend of mind wrote me a nice note with her gift referencing back to a couple of things we did pre-marriage and kids. It was something like Mazel tov on the birth of your daughter! I'm so so happy for you! May you have a lot of nachas from her. Can't beleive we are up to having babies, feels like we were just doing xyz.
I appreciated it.

I'd probably do:
Dear ____
Mazal Tov on the birth of your daughter - may you and ____ see much nachas from her.
May we share in many Smachot together
Fondly/Sincerely/Love
______
You could do "such exciting news" but I like to leave that to the 19-year-olds.
