I am thinking about getting a degree in Career Counseling. I am especially interested in working in the frum community. I think it's important for people to be aware of their strengths and weaknesses and interests, and be exposed to careers outside the typical "frum" jobs. I am open to working with people outside the frum community, too.
I like working with people, and have an interest in this field.
Are you a career counselor? Do you know someone who is?
Do you know how lucrative the field is right now, or is more of a "cushy" job?
What can you tell me?

I know this is an old post but I'm thinking about CC as a career change and wondering if you went into the field or not and why? And any other info you can offer on the career.
TIA!
