help! my 20 month old takes ages to get to sleep, usually he seems very tired! Ive tried staying with him and leaving the room (He cries sometimes, mainly just kvetches on and off, and plays around a lot). and by the time he finally falls asleep, I have to wake him up to pick up my other son. and then he is a wreck!
I feel he is too young to stop napping, although it is extremely frustrating trying to get him to sleep! yesterday it took almost 2 hours!
ANY advice?? should I just give up? It started affecting my whole day, if he goes to sleep easily or not. and lately its not

Can you keep him up until just after you pick up your other son and then put him down?

OP here. he wont nap if my other son is home...
I ended up just taking him out of his crib after almost 1.5 hours...
if it wasnt pouring or snowing here, I wouldve tried taking him for a walk!
dont know what to do for the future...

I hear you. Can you ask someone else to bring your son home so you don't have to wake the baby?

OP here. I dont have anyone else to bring him home. I decided to forget the naps for the next few days and we'll see how it goes. He actually seemed fine today without sleeping :/
Dunno, he still seems kind of young to give it up! hopefully its just a stage!

Maybe he's outgrowing his nap?
