what's the trick to get mashed potatoes a good consistency?
what spices do you put in?

fryed onions make it very tasty, salt, bit of pepper and garlic pwdr. I put in marg (trans fat free), I leave in a bit of the water from when I boil the potatoes, like the consistency better. I know someone who puts in parve milk. another friend of mine whips them in her mixer to get a good consistency.

I add butter-flavored margarine and soy milk.
Sometimes I'll roast a head of garlic and drop it into the potatoes as I mash it.
Season with salt and pepper and top with sauteed mushrooms and caramelized onions.
