We are looking into buying a used Toyota Sienna when we test drove 3 different sienna we noticed a slight squeaking noise as the fan spun around. To confirm we turned the fan off noise gone. Turned back on again noise. Apparently the fan is located behind the glove box area. That's where the squeaking was coming from.
My question is this normal for the 2nd generation 2004-2010 sienna?

I would take the car to a mechanic before you buy to make sure it isn't a problem.

if you own a sienna, can you simply listen to the heater fan and tell me if you can hear the slight hissing sound when its on?
is this a normal sound of the fan working? or is it unusual and would signify a problem?
please help me out!
