Does anyone have a good slow cooker (crock pot) recipe with meat? TIA!!

I don't have exact measurements but you can play around with the ingredients- cubed beef, potatoes, sweet potatoes, california veggie mix, barley (if you want it a bit thicker), onions, garlic powder, onion powder, paprkia, pepper, water to cover, 1 small can tomato sauce. cook on low for 8 hours. my cousins hubby makes this and it comes out so good!

Any particular kind of meat? And do you brown the meat first?

roast? lay roast in crock pot on bed of sliced onions, add potatoes, carrots and zuccinni slices
then garlic powder, paprika, lawrys(if you have)
then tomatoe paste, orange juice and bottle of wine on top
cover and let cook, fall apart roast so soft and tender, yummy

ground meat? make potato kugel mixture twice
put oil in crock pot
layer half potato mixture then ground meat raw
then next layer of potatoe kugel.
cover cook on high for a couple of hours and then on low
I even do this for shabbos instead of cholent sometimes

ground meat, crumble with marinara sauce and add a boil a bag of rice , add a bit of water
you have supper all ready, rice and meat sauce

wo different recipes using stew meat one is meat, onion, garlic, potato sweet potato, carrot can add zuchinni or butternut or acor squash if you like add pepper garlic and onion powder a drop of onion soup mix and 1-2c water
meat and rice I use brown rice for every cup I use 3c water and meat and spices and soup mix if you like I add frozen cauliflower sometimes as that usually dissolves so I can sneek veg into my family you can add other frozen veggies that your family likes

If I usually make a 9 x 13" kugel, do I still double the recipe?

Do you saute the ground beef before you crumble with the sauce? Also have you used regular brown rice instead of the boil bag rice?

I dont cook the meat first. I usually use between 1/2 kilo to 1 kilo. depends on how much meat you like
I have used borwn rice in a cooking bag with some pin prick holes. but you need extra water.
