I recently read instructions in some periodical (don't remember which one) on how to clean a Tallis at home. It was a 2-step process: first soaking it in detergent, maybe? then rinsing and resoaking in some mixture that includes milk (!) and other stuff. If anyone has these instructions, please post them.
Thanks!

My mother washes the talleisim. She wraps the tzitis in white socks they shouldn't tangle. She uses woolite detergent pours in around a half a bottle of milk into the machine. Also if it has a silver atara you need to remove it before washing and sew it back on after. After it's finish its best if you iron in while still damp.
