Is there a difference between clothing that is size 24 months or 2T?

I think that officially 24 month is usually wider and accommodates a diaper better. The 2t are trimmer and made for toilet trained kids.

Now a days with thin disposable diapers I wonder if there is even a difference.

I have found that 2t runs slightly bigger.

based on clothes that I've seen 2T is really a size up from 24 months. I think 24M is really 18M - 24M, while 2T is 24M-36M or something like that.
