I am in disbelief that I have opened this up for discussion, but I know you ladies can help:
B"h I delivered a healthy baby boy on Shabbos. Aside from the logistics of a bris on the Shabbos before Shavuos (we live out-of-town), we have a name problem. Somehow, we were convinced that we were expecting a girl and had no difficulty with "her" name. We planned to name "her" for a very special family member whose birthday & yahrtzeit is during the Omer (when baby was due)..Baby arrived *on* the yahrtzeit and it is very important to us hat we name for her.
Family Name: Sheindel (we planned to name "Shayna")
Discuss! I want either same meaning (hard to find a boy name for 'beautiful') or the same/similar sound.

Mazel Tov!
I can't think of a name for a boy that means beautiful.
What about Meir = enlightening. Light is the medium through which we can see beauty.
Noam = pleasant.
Shmuel, Shimon, Shalom - begin with the same Shin.

OP here. Thanks for the suggestions. I love "Shalom", especially for a Shabbos baby. Too bad our first son is "Aaron Shalom"!
Was also thinking Shavous names as options but can't think of any that jump at me. Be a bit odd to have an Aaron and a Moshe, no? Also, Moshe is out for other family reasons. What names are associated - or could be - with Shavuos? Perhaps names like 'Natanel' referring to the gift of Torah and baby? What other names have 'gift' connotations?
Thanks in advance!

Matan or Doron for gift; Shraga is also related to Torah and Shabbos (it means candle/light), and it starts with a shin, so sounds like Sheindel.

Moshe's other name was Tuvya.
Shneur - shin and nun like sheindel/sheina
Dovid - connection with shvuos through megilas Ruth
Mazal tov and you should be zoiche to bring him up to Torah, mitzvos and maasim toivim.

How about Yishai (father of David) ?
Or Matan or Matania (present or present from hashem) ? As in Matan Torah.
Or Netanel ? (same idea)
Zacharia ? (Hashem remembers/ed)
Sorry about the lack of Shins inthese though.
