Someone mentioned not liking Gittel but would use Gitty.
Is Gitty, Chavi, Suri... allowed to put on a ketuba in your circles? or do you use Chava/Chave on the ketuba?

I'm especially interested in the answers of the amothers who say "I'm not Chava/Chave I'm Chavi", if they mean to say really they never use these names.

AFAIK the name which you were named at shul needs to be on the Ketubah.

However all nicknames you're known as needs to be on the Get.

So this leads to:
do you name your child Moishy/Suri/Gitty at bris/naming?

That was me...I didn't mean I would name Gitty...I would name Gittel only if we called Gitty.
I wouldn't name a nickname...especially if I was naming after someone, give them the real name.
And then call them what you want Smile

I'm pretty much only called by my nickname so on my kesuba they wrote out my hebrew name and then added in "who is known by the name ---" it was kind of weird since my nickname is from my initials.

My cousins actually asked this question. They intended to call their child Estie, and asked if they should call her Ester or Estie at the naming. The rav said to call her Ester, and be makpid to use Ester at least some of the time.

I was telling dh that I like the name Yehudis, but wouldn't name a daughter that b/c we live in E"Y & she would be called Yehudeeet. He said that's nothing to go by, but I beg to differ.
