There are already so many threads like this here. Why don't search -- you'll probably find the info you're looking for.

My kids love pasta.
We make it plain, then serve all kinds of toppings on the side - tomato sauce, grated cheese, tuna-mayo, canned beans.
We cut salad veggies for the kids to take, too.
This way, the picky kids get to select what they want, and we don't have to make something different for those with allergies.
If the kids want their cheese melted, we put it in the bowl first, and then put the hot pasta on the top. It isn't the same as melting it all together in a pan, but they don't seem to mind.
Sometimes I heat the tomato sauce separately, or make a different kind of sauce.

grilled chicken and meat. the hardest part is cleaning it afterwards

peppersteak- one kid does only eat the meat and skips the rice. the hardish part is to have the meat defrosted it just simmers for 40 min or so actual work isn't that much

meatballs, tacos

- Grilled salmon fillets: rinse fillets and pat dry. I usually coat with BBQ sauce or season with equal
part OJ and soy sauce. Cook under broiler.

- Fish goujons: Cut white fish like cod, flounder, haddock into large-ish bite size pieces. Dip in beaten egg,
then cornflake crumbs. Heat 1-2 tbsp oil in a frying pan till hot, fry fish pieces a few minutes on both sides
till golden and cooked through. Serve hot, with ketuchups. Kids like to have them with pasta or in a pita.

- Fried rice: good way of using up leftover/frozen rice. First make 1-2 egg omlette in a frying pan,
transfer to a plate and shred into tiny bits. Using the same frying pan, heat small amount of toasted
sesame oil (I use abt 2tbsp for 2-3cups of rice). Add cold rice, chopped cooked/ready-to-eat sausages
(I usually use Tivali's cocktail sausages cut in pieces), chopped red peppers, tinned sweetcorn and frozen
peas. Stir-fry till all is nicely mixed and heated through, you can season with salt & pepper, or with
a bit of parve soup powder diluted with small amount of water.

If I'm feeling REALLY lazy/pressed for time,

- Pizza pita: Split pita in half, spread tomato/pasta sauce, whatever topping (mushrooms, olives, red peppers, sweetcorn) and sprinkle cheese on top. Toast in a toaster oven. Serve with veggie sticks.

- Jacket potato: scrub potatoes, microwave till done. Split half lengthwise in skin. Top with grated cheese, tuna salad, baked beans (classic!)

We do pita pizza all the time - kids love to pick their toppings, and we use the toaster oven which makes for quick and easy. While the first batch is cooking, the next kids get to assemble their pizzas.
We use the thicker whole-wheat pizzas, because they hold the toppings better.

Jacket potatoes are a great idea. My kids don't care for microwaved, so I don't tend to do it in the summer, but it's great for those nights when we are out till supper time - I start them before I start carpools, and they are done by the time everyone is home. And, if I need to, I can feed some kids earlier and the rest stay warm in the oven.
Favourite toppings are baked beans, tuna-mayo, cheese, ground beef with tomato sauce.
I serve with coleslaw or just sticks of salad veggies.

black bean tacos are our go to for a quick dinner. I think everyone in the house would happily eat them a couple nights a week.

tomato rice soup
pasta
grilled cheese
cottage cheese pizza - our made up name for a twist of grilled cheese. Spread marinara sauce on bread, and then spread cottage cheese on top. Put in toaster oven for a few minutes. quite good and I feel it's healthier than doing it with sliced american cheese.
tuna patties/balls
grilled chicken cutlets

taco salad:

For the salad:
lettuce, tomato, cucumber

if I have: red cucumber, avacado, canned corn, red cabbage.
Dressing: 1 part mayo, 1 part salsa

Brown some ground meat.

Add ground meat to salat, top with broken up pieces of tortilla chips.

It's fairly cheap, and pretty filling. My kids really, really like it.
