Does anyone have one? Is it dangerouse?
Also, does anyone have an electric dryer? How expensive is it to run? And could an indoor vent be used with it?

We are moving apartments and its going to be very complicated to install our normal gas dryer and vent it through a window. We are trying to explore other options but its all getting very confusing.

Any help would be much appreciated!

We have a gas dryer with an indoor vent. We've had it for about 10 years. I wouldn't recommend it as a first option but for us, since solving the issue by venting to the outside would entail serious structural work in our bathroom, it has been a solution. I'm careful to keep the container filled (about once a week I need to refill it) and to keep the bathroom ventilated when the dryer is operating so that the condensation doesn't encourage the growth of mold. Also, be aware that fibers from the vapors do get carried into the air and settle on objects nearby that will need to be cleaned more often. In short - not ideal but doable though a certain degree of effort is required.

Lowes or Home Depot sells a indoor vent kit, used for a mini electric dryer. Not sure if it's dangerous, it's not ideal. So you should probably follow directions carefully(you have to keep water in the bottom part that connects to the vent)
But if you could find a way to vent it outside-that's a much better option.

Ok, thanks for replying.
I guess we will look into an electric dryer. Because its either going to be near a window or near gas. Cant be both.
