Birthday Season is coming around (2 of my kids have b-days very close together) & parents/grandparents usually give us x amt of $ & say buy something for the kids for me. We have lots of toys & stuff in the house, but my almost 4yo is at a new level developmentally. What have you found has kept your kids occupied for the most amt of time? I'm thinking of getting a big box of clics & possibly wooden blocks as well. Any other good ideas? TIA!!!

This is my kids favorite toy. It is played with a lot in my house. I say that even though it is so much money it is worth it based on how much it is used.

We LOVE the Melissa dn Doug puzzles! We like the thick wooden chunky individual piece ones (18 months and up) and the large floor puzzles (for the 3 and up crowd)
Other faves: doctor kit, dress up clothes, we also like fridge magnets.
For arts and crafts DD LOVES the twistable crayons and the overly large coloring books (the giant ones that are the same size as DD).

My boy loves to play with mentchies especially the mitzvah kinder! I also like it since it doesn't take up so much space, & the baby loves it too! Perfect size to hold in their tiny hands!
