Low fat/whole wheat apple honey cake
cup sugar
cup honey
half cup applesauce
4 eggs
cup orange juice
2 1/2 cps whole wheat flour
3 tsp baking powder
half tsp baking soda
pinch salt
tsp cinnamon
large peeled and cut up apple
Cut up your apple and put in sprayed 9 by 13 baking pan. Mix rest of ingredients and pour on top of apple. Bake at 350 about 45 minutes or until really brown.

Looks great-I'm going to make it Sunday.
Can I substitute the sugar or reduce it?

not all fake sugars are heat resistant.

Looks good. I wish I had seen this before. I already made my honey cake. (And it was a honey and apple cake too.)
Can you use brown sugar for this?

I don't know. brown sugar recipes have more moisture.
