I don't know if there's a thread on this anywhere, but doesn anyone have any good ideas/directions for weekday meals (stews, chicken/potatoes, etc) in a croc pot? How, what, how much, how long............ Thanks!! looking forward! Thumbs Up

I make meatballs in the crockpot and they come out absolutely delicious-- much better then on the fire.

I pour a can of tomato sauce (if using tomato paste then pour in equal amount of water), brown sugar and vinnegar into the crockpot.
Add a chopped onion.
Mix around with a spoon.

Mix the chopped meat with bread/corn flake crumbs, 1 egg per pound, spices, ketchup, and a drop of cold water.
Drop balls into the sauce and cover.

I cook on low for about 9 hrs while I'm at work, but have left it up to 11 hrs.
If you need for shorter time, you should probably put on Auto, or on high for part and low for part.

(serve on top of rice rather then spagetti for a mushy hearty dinner!)

Enjoy!

Yesterday I layered baby carrots, baby red potatoes, sliced onions and a top rib roast in the crockpot. I put in a package of onion soup mix and one bottle of beer. I cooked it on high for 8 hours. Came out great!
