Probably you have to separate them.

they are separated by the bowl ... doesn't seem to help as kitty can climb whilst the fish is limited to it's convex surrounding

Maybe you should get a lid for the fish bowl before you get any more fish?

You can't find fishy's food? Because it seems kitty has her food picked out.

Why does this remind me of a cartoon where fishy gets supersized and and bonks kitty with a mallet fishy has hidden in his bowl?

Then you're gonna have to put fishy somewhere where kitty can't reach.

Like, if you don't have any chairs next to a dresser, you can put the fishbowl on the dresser.

Or, last resort, on top of the fridge. I'm assuming kitty can't get that high.

Sequoia, you're not a cat person, are you? Lol. I have seen cats go to great lengths to get fish, including ripping off a tank cover with tiny sharp cat teeth. LOL LOL

I've had cats my entire life. I am the biggest cat person I know. I'm the one who suggested the Pets forum!

Never seen a cat who can climb on top of a refrigerator, though.
