OMG! I feel like a huge idiot, I can't believe I didn't know that. Are all infant car seats the same way? It's so hard to pull the handle back, especially when you transfer the car seat into the car.
So this image has the kid in the car the incorrect way bec. the handle is up?

I can't see the particular photo you posted, but if the handle is up, the car should not be moving. AIUI, if up, the handle could snap off in an accident and then it becomes a projectile. I see lots and lots of people making this mistake. Having toys hanging from that bar when driving is also a no-no.

So to confirm - this is the WRONG way to have the car seat in the car?

And if the handle is stowed back, what is the prob. with having toys there?

Every infant seat is different; my Combi is actually made to have the handle up and it's recommended!

But the Baby Trend is supposed to be in 2 or 3 -- either partially back or all the way down.

In that position, it's easy to get baby in and out Smile
