Sending out DH suits monthly to the dry cleaners is a bit expensive for us.
Is there any way that I can clean the the strains on his suit jacket? (without having a steamer or any fancy equipment?)

Does everyone here send out suits for dry cleaning?

I fold them and wash them in the most gentle cycle in the washing machine - but they're inexpensive suits. I'm sure you can surface clean stains gently with cleaner and a gentle cloth.

I use Dry Cleaners' Secret on my boys' suits. It's a cleaning cloth soaked with solution that you put in your dryer with the items to be cleaned. Before that, you use the cloth to pre-treat any stains. I find that this works for most stains, and I rarely have to send suits or other dry clean items to the cleaners.

I find that dry-cleaning simply makes them smell of chemicals yet leaves in the dirt - but they sure look appealing when crisply pressed
spot clean with a damp cloth - first with a little liquid soap & then with a clean damp cloth for a rinse
the pants I would put through a gentle cycle and hang dry ...
don't forget you probably have to press them afterward [which I would do with a cloth between iron & pants so as not to create a shine]
