I've had this idea for a while to make a jelly roll using canned pie filling. (It's strawberry pie filling.) Is possible for me to do this? I don't actually have a recipe for this. Is it advisable to put pareve whipping cream in with it?
I've never made a jelly roll before, and I have some cans of pie filling. I just really liked the idea. For those who have more expertise, does this seem like a good idea? Do you think it will work?

I searched online, and I can't find very many options. Here is a nice one though. (for squares, not jelly rolls) I suppose I can substitute the butter with margarine or oil.
