Passing the hours on tisha bav for grown ups

I always struggle with this on this day. In the mornings I read some tisha bav material, watch a shiur of but as the day goes on and I get hung try and weak I can't keep my mind in aveilus mode no matter how I try and I just want to pass the time. I don't know how bad is it to distract myself with a non tisha bav book or something like a game.
