How can I get chewing gum off of a skirt? I scraped and scraped and now its just a white stain. any ideas?

Afta takes chewing gum off clothing. You can find it in a hardware store or paint store.

If it's not polyester and thus a grease magnet, if there's any left after freezing (I personally never found that freezing helped, but my freezer's not a deep freeze), apply any kind of oil. Oil dissolves gum. Then immediately apply the degreaser of your choice: talc, corn starch, fuller's earth--rub in and let stand overnight. If any grease remains, apply a regular laundry prewash stain remover. Yeah, sounds like a lot of work, but I don't know how precious that garment is to you.
